There's not much worse than suffering from two broken femur bones — unless it's having maggots infest your legs because of alleged inadequate hospital care.
That's the allegation made by the family of Pearl Harris, a 94-year-old Harvey woman who has been in the extended care facility of Oak Forest Hospital since 2001.
The family, seven of whom work for the hospital, are accusing their employer of gross negligence.
"I think the quality of care is horrible," said daughter Loraine Harris-Files, who has worked as a nurse's aide at Oak Forest for the past 19 years.
Harris broke both her femurs after becoming trapped between her hospital bed and bed rails in November 2005. Complications from those breaks led to sores, said her daughter.
Smart assed editorial opinions that should be kept to myself. Along with random video clips and pictures to go along with stories I find that you might find worth having seen. Oh and thanks for stopping by and validating my existence, baby.

Go 'head Don't Mind The maggots
Unless it's your mother then maybe something I don't know might be wrong at the place you work...
